The St. Regis Mauritius Resort
Our first project of several with St. Regis Hotels & Resorts was with @stregismauritius. Our first shooting using a drone enabled us to provide unique angles on the hotel, and we created set for a successful takeover of the Instagram account in 2017.
The three-week takeover aimed to improve on the engagement rates, with no image having broken 300 Likes before. Our images hit a peak of 863 Likes, all 21 images achieving higher engagement than any image on the account had achieved previously.
Most successful shots tend to require a model in them to create the feeling of aspiration – so the viewer can imagine themselves in the location. Even for pool and ocean shots, we aimed to add a human element, seeking new angles to showcase the beauty of the property and location.
We then focused on selecting shots with natural colours and worked on those in the editing and grid planning process to ensure a clean and striking feed.
