Four Seasons Hotel Beijing
Instagram and Facebook remain inaccessible in China, but they are still very important tools for promotion to the international audience, and so when Four Seasons Hotel Beijing asked us to help develop their account, we not only captured images to entice international guests, but managed their account to grow it to the leading hotel Instagram account in the Chinese capital.
We first visited in 2017 for a short one-month project to kick-start the @fsbeijing account with 30 images over 30 days. The result was to increase their following from 2,940, to 6,825 in one month, an increase of 3,885. Impressions jumped from a few hundred to nearly 2,000 per image, and likes rose from an average 75 to average 260.
In 2018 we returned for a 3 month project, this time shooting around the city and the Great Wall to present some of the activities and experiences on offer at Four Seasons Beijing. The result was again to double their following, from 7k to 14k in just 90 days.
Impressions doubled too, from 1,800 to 3,600 per image, likes broke 1,000 per image for the first time, up from a maximum 350, and we successfully grew the audience of @fsbeijing in Hong Kong, Seoul, Jakarta and in Japan. With 14k, the account had more than 10,000 more followers than any other hotel in Beijing after our second management project.
