Aman Resorts, Japan
When Aman Resorts opened its second property in Japan, and first outside Tokyo, it followed the tradition of the Singapore-based chain by locating the Amanemu resort in rural Mie Prefecture.
Plus Alpha headed there to capture the new resort shortly after its opening, with a main aim of capturing the remote setting of the rustic ryokan-style retreat, using a drone to take photos from the air.
The resort is focused on wellness, and so our team was keen to rise early to capture the steam of the hot springs, the red autumn foliage, and the thick flora that skirts the coastline of this part of Japan.
The high-res images were used for the hotel’s international marketing, and main @aman social media accounts.
